Kelsey Gayle Smith, age 31, of Salem, passed Sunday, January 11.
Kelsey was born November 11, 1994, in Louisville Kentucky, the daughter of Jody Mason Rose and Roger Dale Smith. She was a longtime employee of Mama Rosas's and Tracy's Bar and Grill.
She is survived by her wife: Jennifer Cole, they were married April 14, 2021. She is also survived by her parents: Jody Rose (Tim) of Salem and Roger Dale Smith of Livonia, five sisters: Kaycee Menchaca (Nathaniel) and their children, Jesse James and Gracee Lou of French Lick, Mariah Smith and her children, Kaylee, Adalie and Norman of Livonia, Marlee Cleek of Salem, Casey Gilliam and her children, Morgan, Delila and Nevaeh of Jeffersonville and Shayla Smith of Seymour, a step-brother: Jacob Rose of New Albany, step-sister: Kayla Greenlee (Noah) of Salem, and two nephews: Jace and Jude and a niece: Luna. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Kelsey was preceded in death by her grandparents: Barbara and Thomas Mason, and Daisy and John Smith, a sister: Nila Smith, her uncle: Tony Hessig and cousins: Jesse Lanham and Steven Lanham.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8PM and Friday from 9Am-time of service.
