Kelsey Maurice Tamplin was born on June 12, 1981, in Sacramento, California. On May 7, 2025, at the age of 43, he passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
He was a devoted father to his son, Aariyon Tamplin, and a beloved son to his mother, Giovonni Faye Tamplin. He shared a deep bond with his sister, Erica Lindsey, and brother, Willie Tyson, always standing as a source of strength and support.
Kelsey was adored by his nephews and niece-Zyhon Lee, Willie (Trey) Lee, Mussiah Tyson, and Nylah Tyson-who will forever hold his love and guidance close to their hearts. He also leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who loved him deeply and will miss him greatly.
Kelsey is now preceded in death by his father, Walter Tamplin, his twins, Sir and Kelsey, Grandmother Mary Lindsey and another child lost through miscarriage. Though he has departed this world, he is reunited with them in spirit, watching over those he loved.
A true sports fan, Kelsey proudly cheered for the Los Angeles Lakers and the San Francisco 49ers. Whether celebrating victories or staying loyal through tough seasons, his passion for the game was infectious, bringing camaraderie and excitement to those around him.
Beyond his love for sports, Kelsey was an avid traveler who cherished visiting family for reunions and connecting with friends across different places. His journeys were filled with laughter, shared stories, and the joy of strengthening bonds that meant the world to him.
His warmth, kindness, and unwavering loyalty to his family and friends will be remembered always. Though Kelsey has departed this world, his spirit lives on through the love he shared and the memories he created. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
