Kelsi Krueger, 27, of Granite Falls, Minnesota passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Avera Granite Falls Hospital. Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 5, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Granite Fall. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 4, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Granite Falls with a Prayer Service and Time of Sharing at 7:00 PM. Interment will be Friday at 4:00 PM at Larson Whispering Pines Cemetery in Cushing, Minnesota.
Kelsi Jo Kersting Krueger was born on June 22, 1994 in Staples, Minnesota to John Kersting and Jennifer Hanych. She was baptized at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Clarissa, Minnesota and was later confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Granite Falls. As a child, Kelsi loved Barney and the movie, Annie. She would often put together a "play" and recruit her sisters and friends as fellow actors and recite without issue the complete story. Kelsi began school in Melrose and then attended school at Yellow Medicine East Schools and graduating with the class of 2013. During high school, she participated in YME Danceline and the drama arts. She went on to Ridgewater College studying nursing.
Kelsi worked as a Nursing Assistant and also at Ruff's Restaurant in Willmar, Minnesota. She welcomed her son Wesley in July of 2016 and in February of 2018, Bentley was born. Kelsi loved her boys and they truly were her world! Her eyes always had a twinkle when her boys were near. Kelsi married Brian Krueger in December of 2018 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Kelsi embraced life to its fullest. She loved to dance and spend time with those she loved. She is survived by her husband, Brian Krueger of Hutchinson; sons, Wesley and Bentley; mother, Jennifer (fiancé, Pat Hornick) Johnson of Granite Falls; father, John (Ann) Kersting of North Branch; maternal grandparents, Richard and Kathy Hanych of Cushing; paternal grandfather, John George (Elnora) Kersting of Sartell; father and mother-in-law, Ron and Barb Krueger of Winsted; siblings, Maddison Johnson of Granite Falls, Emily Johnson of Rapid City, SD, Paige Hornick of Thief River Falls, Mitch (Lillie) Kersting of Williston, ND, Mackenzie Kersting of Dilworth; Josalyn (Ryan) Berken of Forest Lake, MN; Conner Hammond of North Branch; niece, Aubrie Kersting; nephew, Jaxon Kersting; sister-in-law, Rachel (Jared) Sanow of Marshall; brother-in-law, Matthew (Rachael) Krueger of Milroy; aunts and uncles, Jesse (Kristie) Hanych, Rob (special friends, Jayna) Kersting, Kathy Lawrence, Beth (Jamie) Gruebele; as well as other relatives and friends.
Kelsi was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Carol Kersting; great grandparents, Delores and Harry Larson, Marian Hanych, Robert Hanych, Ann Kersting; uncle, Chris Lawrence; cousin, Michael Sudbeck.

from your niece, I still remember your laugh even though after you got really sick and didn't laugh that much or atleast me anyway. If I lived in Minnesota I would help grandma with the boys for you and I still remember when you babysat me when I was super super little you introduced me to barney and now im thinking about watching it again. You were too young to pass away and when my parents told me I had my friend over so I couldn't lock myself in the room but at that moment that all i wanted to do. I found this page because I was thinking about you. All I wanted for you was happiness just so you know and when I move back to Minnesota in a couple of years all be sure to be there for the boys.
