Funeral services for Kelsi Danielle Redd, 15, of Wells, will be held Thursday, February 29, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at Wells High School with Bro. Vergil Morgan and Principal Friday Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Hester Cemetery in Wells.
Kelsi was born on July 3, 2008, in Lufkin, Texas, to Daniel Wayne Redd and Charla (Havard) Jones, and died Saturday, February 24, 2024, in Houston.
Kelsi attended Calvary Baptist Church in Wells. She was very active, spending her time between softball, cheerleading, student council, and FFA, where she was an officer. Kelsi also enjoyed spending time with her loving boyfriend, Cody. She could light up any room and left a lasting impact on anyone that she ever crossed paths with. Kelsi was beautiful inside and out and will be missed by so many who loved her dearly! Live like Kelsi!!
Kelsi is survived by her grandmother, Deidre Smith of Wells; mother, Charla Jones of Central; father, Daniel Redd of Wells; brother, Rylan Mosley of Central; sister, Macie Jones of Central; grandfather, Eli Redd of Wells; uncle and aunt, Jacob Redd and Wynette Tolley of Wells; uncle, Joseph Redd of Wells; aunt and uncle, Carey and Russ Reeder of Central; aunt, Regina Havard of Lufkin; aunt, Cheri Luce of Alvin; special dear boyfriend, Cody Ross of Wells; bonus family, Lacie Ross, Jeremy Alexander, Caydee Ross, Clayton Ross, Lindsey and Chris Baxter, and Kay James-Dunn; and best friends, Emily Monday and Sway Courtney.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, James Robert Smith; grandmother, Mary Havard; grandfather, Charles Havard; and brother, Daniel Weston Redd.
Pallbearers will be Carson Grammer, Chasten Martin, Slade Tarrant, Drake Wallace, Kaden Courtney, Mason Williams, Roy Gardner, and Brycen Miles.
Honorary pallbearers will be Sway Courtney, Emily Monday, and The Wells High School Cheerleaders.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.
