Ken Hawk Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Return Home Green Funeral Home - Auburn from Dec. 16 to Dec. 19, 2025.
Kenneth Alan Hawk, 80, of Cottage Grove, Oregon, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2025. He was born May 14, 1945, in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

Ken received his bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Oregon and continued his education, graduating from The Oregon Health & Science University's Dental program in Portland. He then served as a captain in the United States Air Force, stationed in Japan from 1972 to 1975. He returned to Oregon later that year and established a private dental practice in Eugene, where he cared for patients for 42 years before retiring in 2017.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Ken was an avid fan of Oregon Duck football, basketball, and softball. He also loved MLB (Yankees/ Mariners.) As a golfer & member of The Eugene Country Club for 46 years, he also enjoyed watching both men's and women's professional/ amateur golf tournaments.

Like his father, he had a green thumb & enjoyed gardening, especially tending to his roses and rhododendrons, and was a proud member of the Rotary Club of Eugene.

Ken is survived by his wife, Jennifer; daughters Raegan Mann (DJ), Quincy Waidelich (Trey), and Teryl Hawk; brothers Bill Hawk (Kimra) and Ron Hawk; and five grandchildren: Cannon, Colt, and Trace Mann, and Henry and Finlay Waidelich. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Phyllis Hawk.

A private family gathering to honor his life will be held in the spring.
