Kenneth “Ken” Wayne Hobaugh of Greenwood, IN, passed away on July 16, 2025, at the age of 78. He was born in Indianapolis, IN, on December 12, 1946, to parents, Arvin and Alice (Devine) Hobaugh.
Ken was retired from the United States Army as a 1st Sargent. He served honorably in the Vietnam war and received a Bronze Star for actions during the Tet Offensive. Ken had many hobbies such as fishing, woodworking and restoring his 1965 Ford falcon. He was a longtime avid Colts fan. Ken’s pride and joy was being a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather all his years.
Ken married Jill Hobaugh on November 29, 2008, she preceded him in passing. He is survived by children, Lynn Hicks, Robert (Kim) Hobaugh, Kimberly Fannin, Alice (Angel) Mendez, Jeryn (Joni Shelton) Crouch; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held from 12pm until 2pm, July 23, 2025, at Flanner Buchanan Oaklawn Memorial Gardens – Conner Suite (9700 Allisonville Rd. Indianapolis, IN). A Funeral Service will be held at 2pm, Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Flanner Buchanan Oaklawn Memorial Gardens – Conner Suite. Burial will follow funeral service at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
