Ken Riebe Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Skinner Funeral Home - Cumberland on Dec. 27, 2021.
Kenneth Maynard Riebe, 82, of Almena died, December 25, 2021, at his home. He was born September 21, 1939, in Cumberland, WI to Roy Sr. and Caroline (Priem) Riebe. He served in the U.S. Army for two years. Upon returning home he worked at 3M for 12 years.
He was married in St. Ann Catholic Church in Turtle Lake on June 27, 1959, to Judith Ross. Together they spent 62 wonderful years.
In his heart, Ken was a farming man; after his time at 3M, Ken began dairy farming at his home in Almena. Once retired, Ken got into crafting and even opened up his own shop called Ken's Crafts. He never seemed to sit still for very long. When he was not working, tinkering, or building something, Ken was attending various sports activities. Ken took great pride in being a dad, grandpa, and great grandpa. If there was an event happening, he was there.
Ken also enjoyed playing dartball, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. Ken was an active member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; four sons: Kenneth M. (Sandra) Riebe Jr. of Cumberland, Fred (Linda) Riebe of Hillsdale, Scott (Jill) Riebe of Buffalo, MO, Tom (Wendy) Riebe of Windham, ME; two daughters: Terri (Darrin) Moen of Prairie Farm, and Wendy Kressin of Bloomer; 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; three brothers: Robert Riebe of Cumberland, Douglas Riebe of Cumberland, and Roger Riebe of Cumberland; sister, Dorothy Norman of Chesapeak, VA; many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Roy Riebe Jr., son-in-law, John Kressin; great grandson, Tavis Bader,
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday January 3, 2022, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Tom Thompson officiating. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Sunday, January 2, 2022, in Cumberland and one hour before the service.
