Ken C. Shei

KEN CHIEN MIN SHEI age 90, beloved husband of the late Lee Shiu Chi Shei; loving father of Johnson (wife Hsiuhung Lin), Cynthia (husband David Cheng), Amy, Linda (husband James Lin) and Darlene (husband Andy Niu); devoted grandfather of Julia Shei, Iteen Cheng (husband Stephano Hong), Lilian Pan, Karin Pan, Aaron Pan, Jonathan Lin, Jubi Lin, Max Lin, Celine Niu and Sean Niu and great grandfather of Elaina; cherished son of Gi Shei and Yuan Young. 

Born May 13, 1934, Ken was raised and well educated in Taiwan. He immigrated to the US in 1975, settled in Cleveland, raised a family and pursued his career as an engineer. Ken sought out fine dining experiences and delighted in expanding his fine wine and liquor collection. Playing soccer, rugby and Judo earlier in his life, Ken continued to stay fit through regular exercise routines. He was truly fascinated with the world as he traveled to all corners of the globe, making lasting friends wherever he went. His sense of humor and desire to socialize made him the life of every party. Ken passed away on November 1, 2024 and will be fondly remembered by his family and huge circle of friends.

Celebration of Life Service Sunday, November 10, 2024 at 1:00 PM AT THE FUNERAL HOME. Cremation following by DeJohn Crematory. Burial at a later date in Taiwan. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Ken at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SUNDAY 12-1 PM.
