Kendall Leland Adams passed away on April 20, 2024, on the farm where he was raised near Kincaid, Kansas.
Kendall was born on March 16, 1955, to Arliss and Bonnie Goodall Adams in Garnett, Kansas. He went to Kincaid grade school and graduated from Crest with the class of 1973. After high school, he tried out for the Royals Farm Team. Kendall was a welder at Humco in Garnett for several years before starting A and K Farms with his dad. Kendall could always be found helping out area farmers.
In his younger years, Kendall played baseball for Iola Legion. As an adult, Kendall enjoyed playing softball, acquiring the name "Grizzly" from his teammates. Fishing and hunting were a great passion of his. Kendall loved all wildlife. In their spare time, Kendall and Denise enjoyed spending time in nature and foraging for asparagus and morel mushrooms. Kendall loved spending time with family and watching his grandchildren play sports.
Kendall was united in marriage to Alice Norman in 1975. This union was blessed with three children. Later he was married to Denise Stewart McVey on March 16, 2002.
Kendall was preceded in death by his father.
Kendall is survived by his wife, Denise, of the home; his mother, Bonnie Adams; children, Stacey(Andy) Womelsdorf of LaHarpe, Kansas, John(Candy) Adams of Moran, Kansas, Clint(Kim) Adams of Moran, Kansas, Amber McVey of Chanute, Kansas, Jason (Kelci) McVey of Caney, Kansas, Derek (Trista) McVey of Moran, Kansas, Denton McVey of Iola, Kansas, Alyssa Blevins of Moran, Kansas, Alysha (Mark) Michael of Uniontown, Kansas; twenty-five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings; Jeff Adams of Garnett, Kansas, Renda (Mike) Hammond of Kincaid, Kansas, Cindy (Dennis) Rhodes of Kincaid, Kansas, along with numerous nieces, nephews and family members.
Funeral Services will take place at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, April 26, 2024, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, Iola, Kansas. Burial will follow in the Lone Elm Cemetery, Lone Elm, Kansas. Kendall's family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday evening, April 25, 2024 in The Venue at the funeral home, Iola, Kansas. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Kendall Adams Memorial Fund to offset funeral expenses. Condolences can be left for the family at www.feuerbornfuneral.com
