Lavada Sharon (Rumbaugh) Bartley, age 83, of Garnett, Kansas, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, November 9, 2025.
She was born on April 16, 1942, in Clovis, New Mexico, the daughter of Charles and Ruthan (Lawson) Rumbaugh. Lavada graduated from Tempe Union High School in Tempe, Arizona, in 1960 and went on to spend the majority of her life working as an office administrative secretary for American Fence Company. Her strong work ethic and kind spirit were evident to everyone who knew her.
On February 10, 1984, Lavada was united in marriage to James Bartley in Tempe, Arizona. The two shared many wonderful years together until his passing in 2017. Lavada moved to Garnett, Kansas in 2018 where she resided until her passing.
Lavada will be dearly missed by her surviving family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ruthan Rumbaugh, and her husband, James Bartley.
Lavada's life was one of quiet strength, devotion, and love for her family. Her memory will remain a blessing in the hearts of all who knew her.
