Donna Marie Morgan, age 83, of Greeley, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at St. Luke's Hospital on the Plaza, surrounded by family.

She was born on February 6th, 1942, to Don and Freda (Nolte) Miller of rural Greeley, KS.

Donna was raised in a bustling farm environment with an older brother and five siblings to follow. Her entrepreneurial father and dynamic mother provided a basis for lifelong curiosity and learning that led to her choosing a career in teaching.

After graduating from Greeley High School, Class of 1959, Donna pursued her teaching degree at Kansas State Teachers College of Emporia. She obtained her degree in just three years.

While Donna was in college, Edward Morgan returned home from the Navy and they began their courtship after having known each other their entire lives. They were married on December 30th, 1961. A union that would span sixty-four years, filled with love, children and unwavering support.

Donna and Ed returned to the Greeley community after college and Donna began teaching music at local grade schools including Blue Mound, Greeley Elementary and St. John's Catholic School. They were blessed with four children: JoAnn, Juanita, Scott and Dale.

These early days were filled with family living on a small farm and soon Donna resumed teaching music. She was eventually hired into the Central Heights School District where she began a career that lasted 35 years. Wanting to transition into the field of Gifted Studies, she started taking evening and weekend classes, obtaining a Masters in Education Degree at Emporia State University in 1984.

Teaching the gifted program opened entirely new worlds of learning for her and her students. The interesting classroom environment led to many adventures and included the robotics' competitions which many times required some of Ed's assistance. Many of her students were greatly impacted by her guidance and would keep in touch with her well beyond graduation.

Donna enjoyed social activities. She was an active member of St. John's Parish, where she participated in the Altar Society and shared her musical talents playing Sunday services.

Donna enjoyed exploring the world. Among her treasured experiences include singing at St. Peters Basilica, Rome, traversing Machu Picchu, Peru and a 50th wedding anniversary cruise enjoyed by the entire family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Vicki Dewald, Susie Guilfoyle and brother Chuck Miller. She is survived by her husband Ed, children JoAnn and Jorge Prieto, Kansas City, KS, Juanita and Rich Cassidy, Duncan, OK, Scott and Cindy Morgan, Claremore, OK and Dale Morgan, Paola, KS. Also, 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew and loved her.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, February 6, 2026, at St. John's Catholic Church in Greeley. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery.

A Rosary will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday evening at the church, followed by visitation from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M. at the St. John's Hall. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Rose School and left in care of Feuerborn Family Funeral Service. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.feuerbornfuneral.com
