Kenneth "Scott" Ambrose, 64, of Bazetta, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2012 after a brief illness. He was born September 12, 1947, a son of the late Dorothy (Evans) Ambrose Royal and Kenneth Ambrose. A lifetime resident of Bazetta, Scott graduated from Lakeview High School in 1966 and retired as a pipefitter, having been a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 225 (396) since 1968. His interests and talents were many, including music, sailing, traveling, and good food. Scott was learned and wise, a teacher to many. He was also a metal worker and a carver of wood, most recently working as a woodturner and starting his own business, Mosquito Creek Woodturner. He enjoyed his dog and cats and his wonderful friends and family. Scott is survived by his wife, Billie Braat Ambrose, whom he married in 1998; a son, Aaron (Chiho) Ambrose of Shawnee Hills; a sister, Karen (Robert) Horvath of Bazetta; a brother, William (Terry) Ambrose of Leavittsburg; two step-children, David (Donna) Mack of Colorado Springs, and Erin (Greg) Simon of Ashtabula; six grandchildren, Tyler, Riley, Lily, Owen, Henry, and Dawson; several nieces and nephews; a favorite cousin and friend, James (Laurie) Ambrose of Leavittsburg; and a special nephew who was like a son, Andrew (Colleen) Davis of Champion. Scott was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son. Donations in Scott's name can be made to The Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Road, Poland, OH 44514. At Scott's request, no calling hours or services will be held. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel. He will be missed.
