Kenneth 'Ken' Lewis Barnett of Franklin, MA passed peacefully in his sleep on October 6, 2025.
Ken was born in Boston Massachusetts, September 25, 1942, the only son of the late Barry Barnett and Ida Torbin Barnett Neuman, and step-son to the late David Neuman.
After graduating high school and getting married he enlisted in the US National Guard where he served in artillery.
Ken was an avid reader, lover of the arts, and history buff. He never went anywhere without a book. In his free time when he wasn't reading, he could often be found at model shows, museums and art festivals. Ken was a talented artist in his own right from making model airplanes in his youth to painting miniature soldiers, practicing pottery and painting, hobbies he had plans to pursue again in his retirement.
Ken was predeceased by his love of 46 years, Barbara 'Bonnie' Barnett in June of this year. He has now returned to her loving embrace. Ken is also predeceased by his 'sister' Nancy Kohn and her husband Harvey of Hull, MA.
He leaves behind his children and those of Bonnie. His son Barry Barnett and wife Tanya of Manhattan, NY, daughter Deborah Barnett Rinehart and husband Kent of Red Hook, NY, daughter Nicole Barnett DiMascola and husband Chris of Atlanta, GA, and Maria Sellman, Lisa Fosdick and her husband Charles, and Marla Maines all of Plymouth, MA. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jackson and Logan Rinehart, Jameson Barnett, Shane Sellman, Sofie and Sadie Fosdick and Daniel and Cecelia Maines.
There will be a celebration of life on Tuesday, October 14 from 12:00pm-4:00pm at the Restaurant 45 located at 45 Milford St, Medway, MA.
Arrangements are under the care of the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (ginleyfuneralhomes.com).
