Mr. Kenneth Beard, age 81, husband of Laura Beard of 867 Waterton Ave., Myrtle Beach, passed away peacefully, Friday, December 19, 2025 at his home.
Mr. Beard was born in Union, January 5, 1944, a son of the late William Joseph Beard and Cecile Cabaniss Beard. He was a graduate of Union High School and was a member of Grand Strand Baptist Church. Mr. Beard spent much of his career in advertising with Union Daily Times and The Greenwood Index Journal. His church was a big part of his life. He loved the Lord and was a member of the Grand Strand Baptist Church Faith Team and had a passion for sharing the good news of the saving Grace of Jesus Christ. Kenny was a an accomplished artist and loved working in his yard.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Laura, is a son, Michael Beard and his wife, Brandi, a brother, William D. Beard, a grandson, Cody Beard and his wife, Kayla, grandchildren, Kinlee Beard, Karyn Lynn Beard, Brady Davis and Tyler Beard. Mr. Beard is also survived by his step-children, Heather Lewis, Shelley Attaway and her husband, Jimmy, Daniel Lewis, step-grandchildren, Savannah, Higdon, Hampton Higdon, Sydney Attaway, Kasi Lewis and former step daughter in law, Terry Lewis. Mr. Beard was predeceased by his first wife, Jenny P. Beard and sisters, Judith B. Malone and Sonja B. Kennemer.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, December 21, 2025, at Union Memorial Gardens, Union, SC, conducted by Mr. Terry Lawing and Mr. Roger Wade
The family will receive family and friends after the service at the graveside.
