Kenneth Ray Bell, a man known for his love of Christ, his lovely bride, and his family, passed away on July 27,2024, in Plano, Texas, in the arms of his family. He was born on August 28, 1944, in Greenville, Texas. Kenneth led a fulfilling life that touched the hearts of many with his personality and unwavering dedication to the Lord.

In his professional journey, Kenneth served proudly in the United States Air Force as an airplane mechanic for four years. His assignment in Red Horse Combat Engineering during Vietnam was a source of immense pride for him. After his military service, Kenneth transitioned to various maintenance positions within the Mesquite ISD, where he dedicated his time and skills until his retirement in 2004. After retirement, Kenneth dedicated the large remainder of his life serving God as a preacher for the Styx Church of Christ where he led others to where he is today.

Beyond his career, Kenneth was a man of many passions. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, tending to cattle, and collecting coins and bottles. Working with his hands outdoors brought him immense joy as he embraced nature and the satisfaction of manual labor. An avid fan of old western television shows, Kenneth also had a knack for snacking while enjoying his favorite programs and being with family.

Kenneth's jovial spirit and warm demeanor endeared him to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Fond memories will forever remain of him being front and center at family gatherings during Thanksgiving and Christmas, eagerly awaiting and sharing the delicious meals alongside his loved ones.

Preceding Kenneth in death are his parents Roy and Elvia Bell, along with his brother Robert Randall Bell.

He is survived by his loving spouse of 54 years, Catherine; his daughter Theresa Bell-Beuchert (spouse Robert); his son Nathan Bell (spouse – Alison); grandchildren Zach Smith (spouse Holly), Matthew Smith (spouse Summer), Amanda Nichols (spouse Matt), Karlee Bell (fiancé Logan), Mackenzie Bell, Dillon Kenneth Bell; great-grandchildren Kallee Burleson, Carson Smith, Violet Smith, Kade Burleson, Jaxon Smith, Richlyn Garmon, Boone Smith, Kacie Nichols, Crew Smith; Winley Smith, Mercer Smith; and Kori Nichols.

A man of integrity and laughter has left this world but remains etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. The legacy of Kenneth lives on through the memories shared by family and friends who will always cherish the memories of his presence.

The family invites friends and extended family to a visitation on Wednesday, July 31st from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, at the Parker-Ashworth Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will take place at Landmark Church of Christ in Kaufman on Thursday, August 1st at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Cottonwood Cemetery in Scurry with military honors.

Kenneth's departure marks a profound loss for all who knew him. May he rest in peace knowing that he was cherished during his time on earth.
