Kenneth O. Bergen, 70, of Little Egg Harbor NJ, passed away at home on Thursday June 5, 2025. Born in New Brunswick NJ, Kenneth spent time living in Milltown NJ, and Brick NJ before moving to Little Egg Harbor in 2018. Kenneth worked as a police captain for the Metuchen Boro police department until retiring in 2005. He was a member of the Manasquan Elks club, and enjoyed golfing, watching Yankees games, going to the beach and being with his family.
Kenneth was predeceased by his parents Charles A. and Beverly J. Bergen and in-laws Richard and Claire Troast.
He is survived by his loving wife Claire Bergen of Little Egg Harbor, sons Wayne Beck and wife Kristen of Manahawkin, NJ, Chris Beck (Amy Carreno) of Manahawkin, and daughters Shannon Moore and husband Eddie of Barnegat, NJ, and Stephanie Nacarlo and husband John of Manahawkin. Also surviving is his brother Glenn Bergen of Spotswood, NJ, his grandchildren Cade, Gavin, Emme, Lily, Aiden, Ava, Brody, Landon, and Avery, daughter-in-law Jennie Nacarlo-Beck and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 10th ,2025 from 4-8pm at Maxwell Funeral Home, 160 Mathistown Road, NJ, 08087 and will continue Wednesday June 11th,2025 from 10-11am. Burial to follow at St. Joseph’s cemetery in Toms River, NJ.
