Kenneth Patrick Birks

Kenneth Patrick Birks, 46, of Elma, passed away in Olympia, Washington on December 31, 2008. He was born May 14, 1962 in Everett, Washington to Eliada Lyman "Mike" and Mary D. (Cullinan) Birks. Kenneth had also lived in Marysville, the Tri-Cities (where he attended high school) and Langley, Washington. He had worked in the construction field had been a cook and also did farming. On December 5, 1981 he married Debbie White in Lynwood, Washington. She survives him at the family home in Elma. Kenneth was a past member of the Elma Eagles and Abates (American Bikers Aimed Towards Education). Kenneth loved riding his Harley and collecting Harley memorabilia. He liked to build car models and watch auto racing. In addition to his wife, Debbie, he is survived by his son, Mike (Ameala) Birks of Elma; daughter, Jessica Birks of Elma; step-daughter, Sarah (Barry) Esteche of Aberdeen; parents, Mike and Mary Birks of Libby, Montana; sister, Diane (Bob) Waldon of Tri Cities and brother, Mike Birks of Livingston, Texas. He also is survived by four grandchildren. Kenneth was preceded in death by his grandparents and an uncle, Don Birks. He will also be remembered by Calvin Stevenson, Norby MacMillan, Dudley Peebles, Jim and Bev Thompson and Tim Emerson. Please join family and friends for a celebration of Ken's life. A bike run and potluck will begin 10AM Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 17 O'neill Road, Elma.
