A lifelong Adrian resident, Ken attended Adrian High School and has worked the past 24 years at Ididit, where he earned the position of assembly manager. He formally retired on March 31, 2023. A lover of mechanics, he loved hot rods, and enjoyed model cars as well. He was very proud of his successful assembly of his Ford T Bucket from start to completion. Ken was most passionate about spending time with his beloved family, who will sorely miss him.
Surviving is his wife of nearly 38 years, Dawn Marie (Conklin) Cable, whom he married on September 28, 1985; his son, Kenneth Cable of Adrian; daughter, Marcia (Eric) Rybkowski of Davison, MI; a sister, Cathy Schweikert of Hudson; 10 grandchildren, Kenny, Lexi, Connor, August, Gabby, Holli, Caydon, Austin, Kennedie, and Chase; and his beloved canine companion, Gizzi. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation will take place. A memorial visitation for Kenneth will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian. Per Ken's request and in accordance with his dislike of formal events, everyone is asked to dress casual and wear jeans.
