Kenneth A. Cabral, 68, of New Bedford, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday October 9, 2025, after a brief illness. He will be remembered for his great smile, sarcastic wit, and love of life's simple joys especially time spent with his beloved dog, Hachi, and his cherished grandchildren.

A lifelong supporter of the Boy Scouts, Kenny became an Eagle Scout and was passionate about mentoring young people and sharing his love for the outdoors, leadership, and community service. Whether spending time painting, sharing stories, lending a helping hand at local food pantries, or offering support, he brought warmth and wit to everyone around him.

He is survived by his mother, Lydia Cabral, and her companion, Richard "Marty" Martin; his two sons, Colby and his wife, Casey, and Marc and his companion, Melissa; his grandchildren, Peyton, Ryleigh, and Max; his step-grandchildren, Abigail and Charlotte, all of New Bedford; as well as several nieces, nephews, close friends, and his faithful dog, Hachi.

Kenny was predeceased by his former wife and best friend, Nancy; his father, John; and his brother, John "Tyce" Cabral.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 2 PM at Grace Episcopal Church, 133 School St., New Bedford, followed by a luncheon in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boy Scouts of America or Martha's Food Pantry, 133 School St., New Bedford, MA.
