Kenneth J. Cahill, Jr. of Tampa, FL, born December 24, 1946, passed away on November 7, 2022.

Kenny had a distinguished military career and retired with the rank of SMSgt from the U.S. Air Force. He was a proud and highly decorated veteran who began his service in Vietnam. Kenny's numerous awards included the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award With Valor with three Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters; the Air Force Presidential Citation; Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross With Palm; Vietnam Service Medal with three Bronze Stars. He received many additional awards and decorations throughout the remainder of his career. Kenny served in many states of the U.S. and at Ramstein AFB, Germany.

Kenny was involved in many activities after his retirement. He loved cars, traveling, and was a sports enthusiast. Kenny was an avid lover of the Great Outdoors. He had a fantastic sense of humor and was a great and caring father, brother, uncle, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him well.

Kenny was one of six children born to Kenneth, Sr., and Rosemary Judson Cahill of Windsor, CT. He was predeceased by his parents, his son Brian, and his brother Dennis Cahill. Kenny is survived by his son Kevin Cahill of Canada and his daughter Karen Sklarz of Woodbridge, CT; sisters Brenda O'Brien of Vero Beach, FL, and Rosemary Burke of Westborough, MA; brothers Geoffrey of North Port, FL, and Christopher of Navarre, FL; three granddaughters and many nieces, nephews, and a Cahill clan of loving cousins. Kenny also left behind two very close and supportive lifelong friends, Eleanor and Ken.

Funeral services will be held December 2, 2022, at Brewer & Sons Funeral Home in Brooksville, FL. A military interment with full honors will follow at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, a memorial gift in Kenny's honor may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
