Kenneth Legrand Carroll, 82, of Johns Island, SC, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 25, 2022. His funeral service will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022 in the First Baptist Church of Ravenel, 5987 SC-165, Ravenel, SC, at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in the churchyard. The family will receive friends prior to the service in the church beginning at 10:00 am. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel. Kenneth was born March 18, 1939 in Ravenel, SC, son of the late James Marion Adkins-Carroll and Ruby Lee Bowles. He was an electrician. He was in the Air Force and then lived most of his life in OH. He was a good man and father who loved his all his kids. He had a great sense of humor and made light of things even when he was in the hospital. He was an avid sports fan. He loved his Cleveland Indians, Browns, and was a SC Gamecock fan too! He is preceded in death by 7 brothers; and nephews, Jack and Jeffrey. He is survived by his sister, Patricia Hughes, SC; 2 sons, Ken Carroll, CA and David Carroll, CA; 5 daughters, Angela Smith, Brenda Carroll & Kimberly Kenney, all from CA, and Brooke Vancs and Allyson from OH; step-sister, Tina and step-brother, Mark Serrano from OH. He helped raise India Fields, OH; multiple nephews, including James Carroll, Jr., FL and Wally Carroll, SC; nieces, including Tammy Smith, SC, Jennie Granese, MA, and Judy Cipo, OH; grand children; great-grand children; good friend, Brian Miller, OH; special friend, Lende Parker, SC; and other friends as well. Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Ravenel in SC.
