Kenneth Wayne Cheek, 65, of Sheridan, died Sunday, June 11, 2023 in Hot Springs.
He was born April 6, 1958 in Bastrop, Louisiana, son of Billy Wayne Cheek and Mary Stella Barba Cheek.
Growing up in Louisiana, Kenneth received his early education before venturing out to Arkansas. Once in Arkansas, he spent several years working for International Paper and later thrived as a quality control contractor.
Mr. Cheek had a keen interest in the outdoors, enjoying activities such as deer hunting and motorcycle riding.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his son, Nicholas Cheek (Jessica) of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter, Jocelyn Harp of Sheridan; three sisters, Cheryl Woodruff of Benton, Debbie Holcomb of Star City and Terri Garrison (Jimmy) of Marion; brother, Louis Cheek of Pine Bluff; and five grandchildren, Tristan Cheek, Skylar Cheek, Carolina Cheek, Braydon Harp and Carter Harp.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Bastrop, Louisiana with Brother Carl Wilson, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Bastrop. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
