Kenneth Wayne Clack (Ken), of Inverness, FL, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on June 27, 1940, in Dunmor, Kentucky, Ken was the son of Robie Ray and Era May Sanders Clack.
Ken is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Patricia (Pat); his children Greg (Cathy) Clack of Leroy Township, Ohio, and Kimberly (Clint) Moles of Minneola, Florida; five grandchildren—Alex (Serene) Clack, Rebecca (John) Geisman, Tricia (Nathan) Amaral, Beth Clack, and Amanda Moles, two great-grandsons, Luca Amaral and Auggie Clack, sister-in-law Judy Clack, and many nieces and nephews. Ken was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Bill and John.
After graduating from Seabreeze High School, Daytona Beach, FL in 1959, Ken briefly attended college in Nashville, Tennessee. His sense of duty led him to serve two years in the United States Air Force before returning to Florida, where he began his career in the grocery industry at A & P. Ken later joined Winn-Dixie, where he met Pat and built a remarkable 35-year career, rising from cashier to produce manager, store manager, and ultimately retiring as Human Resources Supervisor for the Orlando division.
Ken’s passions extended far beyond his work. A talented craftsman, he created beautiful wooden furniture that will be cherished for generations. He loved golf, fishing, and caring for his immaculate lawn—simple pleasures that reflected his appreciation for the outdoors. As a grandfather, Ken’s heart truly blossomed; he delighted in making children’s furniture, toys and creating lasting memories with his nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
A man of deep faith, Ken was actively involved in his church communities in Longwood and Inverness. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to others touched countless lives. Ken will be remembered for his integrity, his laughter, and the love he shared so freely.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 17, at 11:00 AM at Inverness First United Methodist Church, with visitation beginning at 10:30 AM. Interment of ashes will follow on Sunday, January 18, at St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Longwood, after their 11:00 AM worship service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Inverness First United Methodist Church – God’s Kitchen Ministry or to Vitas Hospice House in Lecanto, Florida.
Ken’s life was a testament to love, resilience, and faith. Though his presence will be deeply missed, his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
