Kenneth Cotton Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Houser-Millard Funeral Directors - Jefferson City on Jan. 29, 2026.
Kenneth "Chad" Doyle Cotton, 62, of Centertown, Missouri, Passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026.

He was born on September, 25, 1963, in Casa Grande, Arizona to the late Elmer and Reva (Shipman) Cotton.

Kenneth worked for many years for the Union Grel and then as an Industrial Painter with LPG Ventures. He took pride in his work and was known as someone who showed up, worked hard, and did the job right. Working wasn't just something he did, it was part of who he was.

Above all else, Kenneth cherished his family. He loved spending time with them, especially his grandchildren, who brought him endless joy and pride. Whether it was simply being together, sharing stories, or enjoying everyday moments, family time meant everything to him.

In his downtime, Kenneth enjoyed watching Westerns, finding comfort in the familiar stories of grit, loyalty, and resilience, values he lived by himself. He also found satisfaction in staying busy and productive, always happiest when he had something to do.

Kenneth will be remembered as a devoted family man, a hardworking provider, and someone who found happiness in the simple things: family, work, and time spent with the people he loved most. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Kenneth was survived by his Father; Bobby Runkle, Son; Christoper (Sonya) Stegeman, Daughter; Brandi Felber, Shelley Pitts, Brothers; Richard (Stephanie) Runkle, Alan (Carla) Runkle, Grandchildren; Abel Felber, Reva Felber, Leon Stegeman, Levi Stegeman, Lilith Stegeman.

He was preceded in death by his Wife; Rosie Stegeman, Mother; Peggy Lou Runkle, Brother; Randy Runkle, Sister-In-Law; Kelly Runkle, Mother-In-Law; Margaret Kay Brewer.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
