Kenneth Ray Crenshaw, of Inman, SC passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at the age of 82. He was born in Spartanburg, SC on May 23, 1943, to the late Charlie and Ida May (Moss) Crenshaw.
A graduate of Spartanburg High School (Class of 1962), Kenneth went on to earn his associates degree from Spartanburg Technical College. He then enlisted in the South Carolina Army National Guard in 1964. Kenneth honorably served his country for over 30 years as a Master Sergeant. After his retirement from the National Guard, Kenneth joined Spartanburg Methodist College as Head of Housekeeping.
Kenneth was a faithful man, truly devoted to his family, friends, and his Lord. He was a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon and Adult Sunday School teacher. He will be remembered as the wonderful man he was, always willing to lend a hand to those he loved.
He is survived by his dear wife of 57 years, Brenda Casey Crenshaw; children, Allen Crenshaw (Angela) of Spartanburg, Angelene Bailey (Patrick) of Chesnee, and Avonda Mitchem (Kelvin) of Moore; grandchildren, Hailey Mitchem, Casey Crenshaw, Christian Bailey (Taylor), Hayden Mitchem, Kayla Bailey, William Crenshaw (Avery), and Hannah Mitchem; great-granddaughters, Raelynn and Lillie Bailey; brother, Dennis Crenshaw; and close friend, Johnny Worthy. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Nancy C. McFarlin.
The family would like to say a special thank you to his nieces, Renee Johnson, Tina Ford, and Tami Gosnell for their dedication to Kenneth.
Visitation will be 12:00-12:45 PM on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at J. M. Dunbar Funeral Home, 690 Southport Road, Roebuck, SC 29376. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM, conducted by Rev. Scott Linnerud. Interment in Heritage Memorial Gardens will immediately follow.
