Kenneth Davis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cravens Funeral Home - Sherman on Jan. 21, 2026.
Kenneth Ray Davis or "Kenny Dawg" by his beloved friends and family, age 66, was born on March 31, 1959, and departed this life on January 3, 2026.
Kenneth was a proud Oklahoma native who carried the land, the mountains, and the open road in his soul. Though Oklahoma was always home to him, he spent his final days living with his beloved daughter and grandchildren in Celina, Texas, surrounded by love. He loved riding motorcycles and climbing mountains, always chasing freedom, beauty, and a sense of peace that felt closest to God in wide open spaces. He loved these things until his body wouldn't allow him anymore; but now he is whole, healed, and able to do them again in Heaven with our Creator.
He was raised by a strong single mother whom he loved deeply, and whom he is now reunited with. Kenneth was a strong Christian. He knew Jesus Christ as his Savior. Though his life was not without hardship and challenges, he lived life boldly and on his own terms, especially in his younger years, but his faith shaped his forgiveness, his compassion, and the way he loved others.
Kenneth's younger years could be fiery, but love tempered his spirit. As a father and grandfather, he found his greatest compassion. Above all else, he wanted his children and grandchildren to know love and find their way in the world. He cherished the outdoors, the mountains, and wide open spaces, and he loved living freely and peacefully. He loved all his children - Kendall, Jared, and Sarah - and was a proud and devoted grandfather who loved his grandsons with everything he had, until his very last breath.
Kenneth had a great number of lifelong friends who loved him deeply. Some he will join again in Heaven; others will miss him dearly until they meet again.
Kenneth is survived by his sister, Helen, along with his children, grandchildren, many extended family, and dear friends he considered family.
Kenneth's life will be honored with one last ride on the back of his oldest daughter's motorcycle through the Rocky Mountains will some of his ashes will be spread in his favorite places. Some will also be laid to rest beside his beloved mother in Oglesby, Oklahoma.
"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
- Revelation 21:4

My deepest condolences Kendall, Jared and Sarah. I worked with your father for many years at CDS. He enjoyed sharing stories about each of you. I know he loved each of you dearly and he was quick to forgive the many disappointments life brings. I hope in your grieving you will let go of any sadness and hold on to all the pleasant memories he shared with each of you. I believe that is what he would want you to do. Take care of each other, for your Daddy!
