Kenneth E. DeWitt, 89, of Clarksburg, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was born in Fayette County on Thursday, February 13, 1936 the son of the late Amos and Mabel Maria Greenlee DeWitt. Kenny is survived by his wife of 67 years, the former Evelyn Parker. They were married on July 18, 1958.

He is also survived by one daughter; Joy (John) Hirsch of Washington CH, one daughter-in-law; Jane DeWitt, he loved his four grandchildren; Lindsey Hirsch, Liza Hirsch, Leah (Justin) Shiflett and Jordan (Alex) DeWitt, one great-granddaughter; Mya DeWitt, one sister; Barbara (Gary) Havens of Frankfort and one brother; Wayne (Melody) DeWitt of Frankfort. He was preceded in death by one son; Jack DeWitt, one sister; Marlene Henry and two brothers; Willard and Ralph DeWitt.

Kenny was a 1954 graduate of the Frankfort High School. Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps along with Charles Mowbray, Purl Brown and Bob Leach. When he returned home, he worked at the Sinclair Service Station, then WearEver in Chillicothe. He retired from Kenworth following twenty-five years of service. When he retired, he enjoyed his travels to Florida and other locations around the United States. When he and Evelyn weren't traveling, he enjoyed being a hobby farmer on his childhood farm. Kenny enjoyed his dogs, hunting, farming, flea markets and his famous barn sales.

A funeral service for Ken will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 11 a.m. in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort with Pastor Joy Stanforth officiating. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in the Good Hope Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard, and the United States Marine Corps. Family and friends may visit with Ken's family on Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
