Kenneth Harding, Dill, 74, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at his home in Reidsville.
A funeral service will be held at 11am on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Reidsville with burial to follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening at the Funeral Home from 6-8PM and other times at the home.
Kenny was born on October 26, 1949, to the late Willard and Elizabeth Dill in Rockingham County. He was a lifelong resident of Reidsville. During his childhood he delivered newspapers around town and eventually raised his own family in Reidsville. In between work and raising his family he managed to run 84 miles per week prior to running the New York City Marathon in 1982. In 2010, He retired from Lorillard Tobacco after 38 years of service. After retirement his hobbies included restoration of old cars, going to the “Hot Rod Shop” daily with his friends, and spending time with his grandchildren at sporting events, which he loved dearly. More than anything, he loved his children and grandchildren and was a devoted family man and proud “Grendiddy” and “Papa” who will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife and high school sweetheart, Patsy Loftis Dill, and his sister, Mary Dill.
Kenny is survived by children, Justin Dill and Shannon, Julie Rhetts and Doug Axsom; 3 grandchildren, Madison Rhetts, Jaxon Dill, Carsyn Dill.
