Kenneth R. Edic of Marshfield passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025. Ken is the beloved husband of Margaret E. "Marjorie" (Lynch) Edic; loving father of Kenneth Edic, Jr. and his wife Alison, John P. Edic, and Carol Dwyer; cherished grandfather of Kirra and Kylie Dwyer; dear brother of Ted Edic and Nancy Morrison and her husband Keith.
Ken was the heart of the Edic family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather, a caring brother and a loyal friend. He gave everything he had to the people he loved, always putting family first. He worked tirelessly from his commercial fishing days right up to his retirement from the Heavy Equipment Operators Union where he serviced Marinas from West Palm Beach down to Miami. He worked nonstop throughout his life to create a strong foundation for those around him. His strength, generosity, and quiet determination were constants that one could always count on. Born in Marshfield and raised in Blue Fish Coe, he had a deep love for the ocean from the time he was born. That love for the salt life would evolve to a love of the lakes of central Florida. He felt most at peace when he was on the water, especially on a boat with his family by his side. Whether it was a simple airboat ride or a weeklong trip out commercial fishing, those moments were his joy. Nothing made him happier than spending time with his two granddaughters and you could see it in his huge smile and big blue eyes. His legacy is one of love, hard work and unwavering dedication to family. He will be missed more than words can express.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield, followed by a funeral procession to the Cedar Grove Cemetery for a graveside service.
