Kenneth Michael Ewton

Kenneth Michael Ewton (Nelson), age 65, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on August 28, 2025. He was born on June 15, 1960 in Biloxi, Mississippi to Mr. Wesley Van Ewton, who preceded him in death, and his mother Loretta Worley Nelson of South Carolina.
Kenneth, Kengineer, Ken the Crank, Motorman, My Lala, also leaves behind his younger siblings Deryl Nelson of TN, Brian Nelson of TN, and Nalen Nelson of SC. He also leaves behind his love and best friend Julie "Jewels" Madden-Seals, who was by his side his entire journey towards home, along with his three biggest companions and also loves Ms. Dottie Mae, Mr. Tank, and Mr. Snoop aka Charlie. He adored and loved his dogs as if they were humans.
Ken was the big brother whose younger siblings looked for for advice and guidance, and even beyond at times – looking for his protection. Ken loved karate, skating, fishing, and hunting. As we grow older, our interests also grow. Ken had many interests, all of which he pursued. He went from grinding crankshafts for race cars, to becoming a master of mechanics and even more, a Merchant Marine as an engineer – hence the names he gained being "Ken the Crank" and Kengineer". He also took great pride in turning a hobby shot – the hangout spot when home from the waters – into a full blown in demand machine shop specializing in motors of Harley's. The business had become his pride and joy (and customers a pain in his butt), but overwhelmingly created a pride he'd not felt. A sense of accomplishment when you have other top-notch builders send you their stuff to do for them and brag about such. When you love what you do and do what you love, you can't go wrong.
Ken chose to go on and left the shop and all around him so he could focus on getting the correct treatment he needed, and without insurance at the time, he couldn't get by himself. Thank God for Angels, as one helped him to get the treatment needed. Because of that, he became cancer free without all knowing.
Ken chose all the many paths and directions traveled and he worked hard all the way – played hard, lived hard, and got wore out hard. He was happy and fulfilled with the accomplishments he'd made throughout his life. Now it's his time to get the pain free rest he so deserved to have and couldn't wait to welcome it.
For all that knew Ken, knows he put 100% and beyond in all he did and loved everything he'd ever done. His amazing knowledge and skills will be missed terribly; his jokes and story telling too. We loved watching his whale movies with him and getting to see what he's got to experience. He touched everyone he ever met or worked with and left memories all around. Everywhere he's been will carry on for years and years to come.
So, Kengineer aka Ken the Crank aka My Lala, you are a loss that can never be replaced. You'll be missed by way more than you would have ever believed, and the world has lost a true miracle that we have all been blessed to have gotten to be a part of.
May your soul sail upon each ship you'd ever worked, may the throttles of the bikes you gave life to roll wide open and roar, and may the flags fly as the sprint cars, drag cars, and dirt track Harleys all fly past for the win as a part of you. You will remain in all that you have touched in your life.
Ride on, my friend, for I know we will meet up again.
Until then, rest good, enjoy pain free and know your missed by everyone – especially me. Loved you before, love you now, and love you always.
Ride on Lala, and you'll see your Yaya.
Kenneth and Julie will take a promised road trip to the beach where his ashes will be spread. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
