Our beloved husband, Pop, and PawPaw, Waymon Stewart Ewton, Sr., age 81 of Dunlap TN passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus surrounded by his family at Memorial Hospital on September 16, 2024. He was a good man who loved Jesus and his family. He loved watching wrestling and Gun Smoke and was of the Baptist faith.
Waymon was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Eva Dean Ewton; Siblings, Jerry, Jimmy, Lois, HB, Marlene and Garry; and his beloved granddaughter, Leann Ewton Ridley.
Waymon is survived by his beloved "Doll" and Wife of over 50 years Donna Bowman Ewton; sons, Waymon (Amanda) Ewton, JR. of Dunlap, Jonathan (Cresta) Ewton of Dunlap, Douglas Ewton of Indiana; Daughter, Cindy (Steve) Marlowe of Oliver Springs, Tn; Sisters, Pricilla Bowman of Signal Mtn., Virginia (Waymon) Harvey of Dunlap, and Betty Wooden of Pikeville; brother, Ricky Ewton of Dunlap; grandchildren, Caleb Ewton, Tyler Butts, Christopher Johnson, Adam Ewton, Ryan Ewton, Amanda (Jorge) Aguilar, Michael Turner; grandson-in-law, Colt Ridley; great grandchildren, Ava, River, Carter, Olivia, Emilee, Ryder, Rowan, Jayden, and Eli. He also leaved behind his beloved canine companion Sadie, several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Ewton Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Minister Mike Shoemate Officiating. Burial will follow in Sequatchie Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends Friday from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of service.
