Ken was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Mary (Peg), son Kenneth Jr. and daughter Kathleen.
He is survived by daughters Karen (Tom Hageman), Kimberly (William Powell), and sister Diane Russo.
Ken will be remembered as an all-around good guy and hard worker who loved his family and friends, classic cars, cigars, fishing, and spaghetti.
He was born in Chicago to Louise and Gollie Fonte. After graduating Lindbloom High School, he married his true love. They had 66 years together and four children. Ken lived on the same block on Menard Ave for 85 years. He worked 33 years for Western Electric/Ameritech and loved it. His early retirement led to working over 20 years at Ace Hardware. Ken was always helpful, always nice. He will be missed.
A private ceremony will be held and his ashes placed next to his wife at Saint Mary's Cemetery in Evergreen Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest making a donation to a charity that cares about people and the world.
