Kenneth James Gallant, 57, of Milton, FL (formerly Richwood/Urbana, OH), died
peacefully at his home on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife Laura,
of 24 years, and his dedicated children.
He was born on November 22, 1967, in Marion, OH. He was preceded in death by his
father, Keith Akers, brother, Keith Akers Sr., and his nephew, Davey Gallant.
Ken was a graduate of North Union HS class of 1986 and served his country in the US
Marine Corps. Ken worked many years at Honda/JIC, where he was able to visit
Mexico, Korea, Japan, and see the world. For his retirement, he moved to Florida and
tended the beaches with the Navarre Parks and Rec. Dept. Ken was an avid fisherman
who loved the outdoors and the peacefulness of nature. Ken was a hardworking man
with a friendly smile and a willingness to help others. He enjoyed sports, including
Cincinnati Reds baseball and Ohio State football. Most of all, he enjoyed time with
family and watching his grandkids play their respective sports. During his sickness, Ken
remained stoic and considerate of others; he did not want to concern anyone and had a
hopeful outlook on life. Ken had an unwavering faith in Jesus, and when asked if he was
scared, he replied, "Of what?" Ken was a strong advocate of medical marijuana and its
uses to combat the symptoms of cancer.
Surviving are his mother, Karyl Akers. Brother David Gallant and Sister Penny (Rick)
Rees. His children, Christina (Anson) Baldwin, Jeffrey (Britney) Gallant, and Daniel
White. Niece Nicole Gallant and nephew Keith Akers Jr.
Grandchildren, Hailey Baldwin, Audrey Baldwin, Milan Gallant, Wesley Gallant
Fur Babies: Willie & Waylon ("Where there's a will, there's a way")
Per Ken's wishes, there will not be a funeral or any type of service. Ken cherished the
simple things in life and did not wish to burden anyone with his passing. We love you
dad, until we meet again. REV. 21:4/ Psalm 23
