Kenneth Hearst Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Farewell Funeral Service - Palm Bluffs on Apr. 5, 2024.
Kenneth "Ken" Hearst was born on Aprl 22, 1935. He lived all of his life in the Fresno area. He graduated from Washington Union High School in 1953. After high school, Ken worked for a brief time for the railroad before entering a union apprenticeship program to become a journeyman sheet metal worker. He was a longstanding member of the sheet metal workers Local No. 104 and the raisin farming community.
Known for his warm spirit and zest for life, Ken enjoyed spending time with family and friends over a good meal or a game of golf. He often earned the prize for longest drive in the "plumbers and drummers" golf tournaments and once shot a hole-in-one at a Pebble Beach golf course.
Ken obtained his private pilot's license and would fly friends and family to Harris Ranch, Northern California, and Tahoe. He enjoyed traveling and casinos. He was also a longtime member of Edison Social Club where, for many years, he played cards on Thursday nights with friends.
Confirmed in the Lutheran church, Ken went home to be with the Lord on April 1, 2024. He will be welcomed by his parents, Christine and Henry Hearst, his sister Delores Jensen (husband Leonard), along with other friends and family who passed on before. Kenneth's passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him, but his legacy of love, family and perseverance will continue to inspire all who knew him.
A dedicated family man, Kenneth is survived by his children Timothy Hearst, Debbie Enochs (husband Dennis) and Gayle Hearst, four grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to Valley Children's Hospital or St. Jude, two childrens organizations that Ken supported.

My Uncle Kenny loved his kids and grandkids. He always made time for them. He was my dad's buddy. They golfed, fished, and played cards together since they were kids. Rest in peace Uncle.

He was a shining example of kindness and compassion, the greatest man I've ever known. His guidance and love filled my life with unforgettable memories! From teaching me how to tie my shoes to driving the tractor, working on the ranch and beyond; dedicated efforts have shown me a whole new world of possibilities! I can´t wait to see him again.... We love you I love you Kenneth! Aka "The King".
