It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Kenneth "Ken" George Hubenthal, 76, of Quincy, MA, formerly of Houston, TX and Pittsburgh, PA. Ken was born on November 28, 1947 in Pittsburgh, PA to Wilma "Sis" Daschbach Hubenthal and Kenneth George Hubenthal, Sr. and passed away on May 28, 2024.
Ken is survived by his wife of 49 years, Betty Duncan Hubenthal of Quincy, MA; daughter, Dr. Erica Hubenthal Lescinskas and husband Robert Lescinskas of Milton, MA; son, Karl Duncan Hubenthal and wife Melissa Danielson of Georgetown, TX; grandchildren Finley Grace Hubenthal, Matthew Robert Lescinskas, and Hannah Elizabeth Lescinskas; sister, Adele "Nancy" Sparvero and husband James Sparvero of Library, PA; brother Jim Hubenthal and wife Carol Hubenthal of Pittsburgh, PA; godson and nephew John Robinson of Pittsburgh, PA; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
Ken's first jobs were delivering newspapers at 5 am Monday to Saturday for the Pittsburgh Post Gazette and setting duckpins at St. Henry Lyceum on Arlington Avenue.
Ken was a 1965 graduate of Saint Michael High School, Pittsburgh, PA. He continued his education by obtaining a Bachelor of Science in 1972 from The Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Business Administration in 1976 from The University of Houston. Ken was a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and worked as an economist for the federal government.
Ken was a Vietnam veteran who proudly served his country as a first lieutenant in the United States Army.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents; brother Bucky Hubenthal; and beloved grandmother Adele "Gram" Nagel Daschbach.

Uncle Ken was a kind and curious person. He made me feel welcome when I saw him. At our family get togethers, he asked the best questions and had a great laugh. We loved him and will miss him.
