Kenneth Hudec Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 1, 2025.
Kenneth Wayne Hudec, affectionately known by all as Ken, embarked on his journey to the pearly gates on September 12, 2025, after a spirited life that began on January 18, 1945, in the heart of San Angelo, TX. The same town witnessed his peaceful departure following an illness, with his beloved Son Cody by his side and the wonderful caring folks from Hospice!
Ken, a man whose laughter was as infectious as his generous spirit, graduated from Lake View High School. Shortly after he served his country with honor in the US Army. After his service, Ken's path led him to Garland, TX, where he worked as a lineman for Garland Power and Light, showcasing not just his dedication to hard work but his ability to handle a stressful and highly dangerous occupation!
Eventually, Ken returned to his hometown, San Angelo, where he continued his career as a lineman with WTU for many years. Ken's love for the outdoors was as vast as the Texas sky. He found solace and happiness in the simplicity of nature, whether he was gardening, casting a fishing line flipping a burger at a cookout, or cheering on his Dallas Cowboys and basking in the roar of engines at a NASCAR race. These moments were the ones he treasured!
He was preceded in death by his parents Henry & Eva Mae Hudec and survived by his son Cody Hudec and beloved granddaughters Holly and Hayley Jane Hudec, his former wife Millie Hudec, his sister Glenda Russell, sisters-in-law Pat Pope and Terri Pope Cockburn, nieces and nephews and special friends who were like family!
He will be greatly missed
