Kenneth Ray Hughes

Roland, AR

April 28,1955 – September 21, 2025

Ken wore many hats throughout his life. He was an automotive whiz and master carpenter/craftsman. He hand-crafted unique pieces that were enjoyed by many. He, along with his brothers, nephew and friends cut logs and built a log cabin on his property in Pulaski County. This was supposed to be a temporary residence until he built a "real" home. A wreck changed all that and he, along with his family lived there until his death.

Ken loved the Lord, he loved a good joke, and he never turned down a PBR.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen (Quandt), children, John Hughes (Jessica), Arian and Anna Robnett, and Jason Hughes (Casey) and Rebecca Robnett Sandoval (Jeff). He is also survived by sisters, Betty Davenport and Paula Gann and brothers, Darrell and Roger Hughes. He had many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. He was blessed by 10 grandchildren, Tory Williams (Roland) Jailyn Hughes (Conway) Josie and Jessabella Hughes of Roland. Avery and Aydan Robnett of Stuttgart, Enzo and Ocie Robnett Sandoval of Little Rock and Brylie and London Hughes of Magnolia.

He was preceded in death by his mom and dad, Lola and John Hughes and his beloved brother James Roy, his son Brandon and sister Tressie.

Celebration of Life will be held at Maumelle Park on October 18, 2025. More info to come.
