Kenneth Julian Imes

Kenneth Julian Imes, lovingly known as Kenny, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025, at the age of 95. Born in Boise, Idaho, on December 9, 1929, Kenny lived a long and full life centered on family, hard work, and the simple joys he loved most.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Imes; his children, Kenneth Imes Jr., Keith Imes, Ronald Baker, Veronica Peters, and Sherri Dille; his daughters-in-law, Terry Imes and Dorinda Imes; and sons-in-law, Ray Peters and Jon Dille. Kenny was a grandfather to Prescott Imes, Wyatt Imes, Ethan Imes, Caleb Imes, Amber Imes, Alexander Troutz, Heather Baker, Cheyanne Peters, Zachary Peters, and a cherished great-grandfather to eight great-grandchildren.

Kenny was a kind and gentle soul who loved deeply and was deeply loved in return. He was a quiet man with a strong presence, and his wisdom and warmth touched everyone around him. Kenny could strike up a friendship with just about anyone, and once you met him, you never forgot him. He had an unforgettable sense of humor and a deep, unmistakable love for his family. He had a lifelong love for working on cars - a skill and passion he passed on to many in his family - and found joy in the thrill and tradition of horse racing. He was also a devoted animal lover, caring deeply for his horses, dogs, and cats throughout his life. His absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but his spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

A celebration of Kenny's life will be announced at a later date. His family invites friends and loved ones to join them in honoring his memory when those details are shared.
