It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kenneth Dean Irby on June 7, 2025, at the age of 53.

In his spare time, Kenneth found joy in the simple things-tossing a football in the yard, strumming a guitar, building with his hands, and soaking in the beauty of God's creation. He was the kind of man who lit up every room, not with loudness, but with quiet strength, deep wisdom, and a heart full of love. He poured himself into his work with excellence, but his greatest passion was always his family. Whether he was coaching from the sidelines or cheering from the stands, Kenneth was deeply present, always leading with love, laughter, and unwavering support.

He approached life with enthusiasm, curiosity, and a servant's heart. As a young man, he thrived in team sports and brought that same team spirit into his parenting-encouraging, guiding, and celebrating his children's unique gifts every step of the way.

Kenneth's battle with cancer was fought with remarkable grace, courage, and faith. Even on the hardest days, he found a way to smile. He taught us what it meant to truly live-not just to exist, but to embrace every moment with gratitude and joy. Through years of treatment, his hope never wavered. He reminded us daily that love is stronger than fear, and that joy can be found even in suffering.

Kenneth is survived by his devoted wife, Bridget; his children, Kenneth Jr, Stephen, Kenleigh, and Ashton; his grandchildren, Rebel & Levi; his parents in love, Sammy & Betty; his sisters and lifetime partners in crime, D'Ann & Deniece and their families; and a host of extended family members and lifelong friends who loved him dearly. Each of them carries a piece of his heart and his legacy.

The family would like to express a special thank you to their heaven sent friends in the Houle family and the Dixon family along with the entirety of Bay Area Church. Your support means more than you know. Also, a special thank you to our friends and family at Curana Health who helped us find the light when everything seemed dark.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to laugh, cry, and honor the incredible man we were all so blessed to know.

As we say goodbye-for now-we invite you to carry Kenneth's legacy forward. Be kind. Be present. Love fiercely. And lift others up, just like he did, every single day. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you do something kind in his memory. That's what he would have wanted.

Kenneth will be missed more than words can say. But his spirit, his love, and his example will live on in each of us.
