Kenneth Wayne Johnson

Kenneth Wayne Johnson, 72, of Somerset, formerly of Lexington, passed away on January 31st, 2025, at his residence. He was born on November 7th, 1952, in Georgetown to the late Earl and Ann Johnson. Mr. Johnson served his country proudly in the United States Army and worked as an electrician for most of his life. He is survived by his wife, Thelia Waters Johnson; children, Kimberly Brown, Wendy Kershaw, and Christopher Johnson; sister, Patricia Burgett; grandchildren, Tyler Brown, Amber Brown, Jared Brown, Joshua Poe, Jordan Poe, Caelan Poe; several great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Michael Waters; and other family members. Other than his parents, he is preceded by his brother, Mike Johnson. Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM Friday, February 7th, 2025, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home – Harrodsburg Road with burial to follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. The visitation will be from 5-7PM Thursday, February 6th, 2025, at the funeral home. Memorial donations in his honor may be made to the Lexington Humane Society, Somerset Humane Society, or St. Jude’s.
