Kenneth A. Keener, age 67, passed away unexpectedly at the Avita Hospital in Galion, Ohio, on August 21, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on August 11, 1958, in Clay County, West Virginia, to the late Noah R. and Nina (McLaughlin) Keener. He graduated from River Valley High School in Caledonia, Ohio in 1977, before moving to Galion in 1980, where he remained until his untimely passing. A firm believer of Christ, Kenneth always looked forward to attending church at New Beginnings in Mansfield. He adored eagles, and enjoyed collecting anything to do with them. He was very musically inclined - his favorite instrument to play was the piano. He could play for hours serenading his loved ones with their favorite songs. Family was important to Kenneth. One of his favorite ways to share his love for them was by cooking and baking for them. He will be sorely missed by all that were blessed to have known him.

He is survived by his loving partner of over 10 years, Brian Hawkins of Galion; the mother of his children, Terri Williams of Galion; four children, Amber Keener (Michael Castle) of Galion, Ashley (Nicholas) Lambert of Morral, Ohio, Aliesha Keener (Buddy Preston) of Galion, and Christopher Keener of Galion; grandchildren, Lakota, Cuyon, and Kobe Scribner, Lincoln Lambert, Callie Preston, Kailey, Kadin, Morgan, Devon, Rileigh Keener, a great-granddaughter, Karmen Keener; and coming from a large family - being 1 of 18 children - he is survived by numerous siblings, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his previous wife, Joann Keener, whom passed away in 2016; multiple siblings; and his beloved grandson Dakota Scribner.

A celebration of Kenneth's life will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, August 29, 2025, at his brothers home in Caledonia.

In place of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Kenneth's memory to the Keener family to help with funeral expenses.
