Kenneth "Ken" Andrew Kienlen, aged 32, passed away on September 25, 2025, in
Andrews, Texas. Born on March 21, 1993, Ken grew into a man of remarkable intellect and spirit, touching the lives of all who knew him with his kindness.
Ken was a proud graduate of Rockwall-Heath High School's class of 2010, where he was known for his academic prowess and perseverance on the tennis court. His thirst for knowledge and commitment to excellence led him to Texas A&M University, where he obtained his bachelor's degree in Mathethmatics and Nuclear Engineering. As a member of the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets, Ken built an enduring bond with his brothers in his unit, E2. His academic journey continued at the University of Notre Dame, where he earned his master's degree in Business and Nuclear Engineering, further showcasing his dedication to his field.
Professionally, Ken brought his expertise and work ethic to Urenco USA, where he served as a Shift Manager. His colleagues respected him for his leadership abilities and his unwavering commitment to safety and efficiency.
Ken's passion for life extended to his love for tennis, which he remained an avid player of in spite of multiple injuries. His competitive spirit and friendly demeanor made him a favorite among his peers on the courts. He also enjoyed playing golf in Andrews during his time off work, where he would spend time in the sun refining his game. Ken loved winding down in the evenings with his girlfriend Athena, watching the football game or picking out a scary movie to enjoy together. He was truly one of a kind, and made friends everywhere he went.
Ken's memory will be forever cherished by his beloved mother, Lisa Anderson, and her husband, Andy, of Mena, Arkansas; his brother, Alex Kienlen, and wife, Haliegh, of Alvord, Texas; his devoted girlfriend, Athena Cantrell, of
Andrews, Texas; his nephew, Ryan Kienlen, and soon-to-be niece, Zoey Kienlen, both of Alvord, Texas. His best friend, Brady Bohrnstedt, of Rockwall, Texas, along with his aunts and uncles Donald and Shelley Riley, Kathy and Gary Tong, Carol and Tom Griggs, and numerous cousins, will all hold Ken's legacy close to their hearts. Ken is now reunited with his father, Philip Kienlen, in eternal peace.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st, 2025, at two o'clock in the afternoon at McNett Funeral Home in
Andrews, Texas with Pastor Brant O'Connor officiating. A burial service will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Garden in Oak Ridge, Tennessee on Monday, October 6, at 2 pm under direction of Mott-McKamey Funeral Home.
