Mr. Kenneth Joe King, 74, of Barbourville, passed away Saturday morning, January 25, 2025 at Baptist Health Corbin. He was born on February 2, 1950 in Middlesboro, the son of the late French Haggard and Mary Lucille Teague King.
Kenneth was a carpenter and believed in the Baptist faith and loved to read and study his Bible. He also enjoyed being out of doors, fishing, gardening and tending flowers. He loved antiques and going to flea markets.
On August 22, 1969, he united in marriage with Wilma Rae Gibson and to this union four children were born.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Brenda and Linda Thomas and a brother, Rev. Terry King.
Survivors include his loving wife of over 55 years, Wilma Rae King of Barbourville; his children, Stacy Joe King of Woodbine, David Bryan King and wife, Sharon, of Lincoln Park, MI, Jason DeWayne King and wife, Leighann, of Gray and Jessica King Bailey and husband, Joshua, of Columbus, OH; a brother, Donnie King of Cumberland Gap, TN; three treasured grandchildren, Shelby and Eason King and Oliver Bailey; several nieces and nephews; among other loved ones and dear friends.
All services will be private.
