Kenneth C. Lachat, 90 of Northumberland, passed away peacefully surrounded by love on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie P. (Powers) Lachat, whom he married on October 26, 1957.

Ken was born in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania on September 19, 1934 to the late Albert and Edna (Herr) Lachat. He was a graduate of Lock Haven High School and received business credits from Villanova University. He served in the United States Army and Reserves for 5 years stationed in Germany. After returning from Germany, he began his 29 year career in Finance. Once he retired in 1990, he enjoyed traveling with his wife, spending summers at Tuckahoe Acres Resort, Delaware and working in his garage.

In addition to his wife, Ken is survived by his two daughters, Dawn R. Raynes (Rob Seaman) and Diana L. DeMarte (Joe DeMarte).

He was lovingly known as Pap to his six grandchildren, Jason Raynes (Inga Hinterliter), Kevin Raynes (Robyn Raynes), Kyle Raynes (Katie Raynes), Nicole DeMarte (Zefflin Morrison), Eric DeMarte and Jessica DeMarte (Chase Zurawski). He is also survived by six great grandchildren, two sisters - Betty Olmstead, and Shirley Russell, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ken was predeceased by his brothers, Charles, Edward, Albert, William, Lewis, and sister, Olive Zerbe.

The Lachat family would like to thank all those who provided special care for Ken throughout the last year.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, October 5 at 1:30 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, Front and King Street, Northumberland, Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Christ United Methodist Church, Northumberland, Pennsylvania.
