Kenneth "Ken" Dale Land, 89, of Manistique, Michigan died peacefully at his home under hospice care with his family by his side. He was born on May 26, 1935, to his parents Wallace Land and Verma Louise Meredith Land. Ken was a graduate at Sexton High School in Lansing and received his associate's degree at Pensacola Jr. College. As a young man he joined the Navy and so began a career lasting 22.5 years. He joined the Masonic Lodge and became a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was a member of the Grand Lagoon Yacht Club. He loved to go boating and being on the water. Hunting and deep-sea fishing were among his most favorite things to do. Ken was well traveled; visiting all fifty States and spreading his wings across the Atlantic Ocean to enjoy the beautiful culture, tastes, sounds, romance, and joy of life that is Italy.
Ken is survived by his wife of 64 years, Carole; his son Keith Land of Waynesboro, Mississippi; daughter, Heather (Mike) Roessler of Manistique, Michigan; his brothers, William (Jackie) Land, Ronald Land; his sister Judy (Jerry) Brija all from Lansing, Michigan.
