Kenneth Wayne Lapp, 93, of Byron, Illinois, died July 5th, 2024. He was born in Rockford, Illinois in 1930 to his parents Galen and Elsie Lapp. Ken spent a portion of his childhood living in Northern Minnesota where he learned to love the outdoors, creating lifelong passions of hunting and fishing. He later moved to Rockford and Byron, where he spent most of his work life as a painter with Paul Johnson & Paul Johnson Painting. Ken later married his loving wife, Lois Lapp on February 27th,1965 and was preceded in death on July 3, 2017. He was a hardworking husband and father who cherished his time with his friends and family.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 10th at All Saints Church in Byron, Illinois. The visitation will start at 10:00-11:00am with services following. Lunch and fellowship to follow the service at the church. Please join us in celebrating Ken’s life with his closest friends and family.
Survived by his sisters Joann Farris and Linda Stein, his sons Ken (Angie), Tim (Laurie), his grandchildren Kasey Lapp, Chelsea (Brett) Lyons, Allison (Austin) Savant and Jordan (Jake) Januski. And his great-grandchildren Lennon Savant, Ledger Savant, Palmer Januski, Kampbell Januski, Leighton Lyons, and numerous nieces and nephews.
