Kenneth Michael “Mike” Leird, 79, of Roland, Arkansas, passed away February 10, 2026. He was the son of Kenneth Manoah and Leneille Lay Leird.

Early in life he attended Grace Lutheran Church. He graduated from Hall High School in 1964 and from Little Rock University in 1969, where he obtained his accounting degree and was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity. He later became a CPA through the University of Houston. He was also a member of the Army National Guard.

Mike worked for Fluor Corporation for many years in corporate accounting, including a stint in Saudi Arabia. He later worked for Texas Instruments in Sherman, Texas, in the semiconductor industry. Over the years, he also lived in Chicago and California before eventually moving back home to Arkansas.

Mike was an active trader in stocks and bonds, and his wisdom in the stock market was impressive. He enjoyed visiting with friends at a local hangar, as well as taking in his beautiful view of Greers Ferry Lake from his back deck. He had a special love for animals, especially his dog, Cloud. Over the years he was also known to have cats, parakeets and chickens.

He is survived by his brother Mark Leird (Sharie) of California and a daughter, Shay Shelton (Todd) of North Carolina, and their two children Sophie and Jack Shelton. He leaves behind many close lifelong friends and relatives who will cherish his memory.
