Shirley Ann (Smith) Leird, 85, was born in Stonewall, Oklahoma on October 5, 1938 to Maxie and Lora May (Mason) Smith. She passed away in McAlester on June 24, 2024. She loved all her grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved to be around them. She grew up in a small town called Union Valley, Oklahoma. She grew up on a farm where she grew fresh vegetables and raised chickens, she did this until way later in life Sigler as well. She was a retired Teacher who taught school for many years. She wore many titles in her time at Bokoshe, OK.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Lora Terrell and husband Jimmy of Krebs; her grandchidren, Wayne Bratton and wife Tamara of Midwest City, Jimmy Terrell III (L.J.)) of Dover, OK, Jasmine White and husband, Xavier of Savanna, OK; her great grandchildren, Jayden and Jimmy Terrell IV (Jet) of Krebs, Jessame White of Savanna, Felicity, Shalin, Faith Lupton and Jeremiah Taylor of Midwest City. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Maxie and Lora May (Mason) Smith; 2 husbands, Wallace Marlin Leird and George Webster Barbee.
Cremation arrangements under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
