Kenneth Little Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home - Paris on Jun. 30, 2024.
Kenneth Wayne Little, of Temple, Texas passed away peacefully at his home with family at his side on June 28, 2024 at 11:30 in the morning. He lived in Temple, Texas at the time of his death but was a long time resident of Paris, Texas.
Wayne resided most of his life in Paris until moving closer to family in Temple, Texas just a few years ago. He served in the National Guard from 1964-1970. He worked as a project engineer at Babcock & Wilcox for 31 years before retiring. He worked for Turner Pipe at the end of his career, retiring after 17 years of employment with Turner.
Wayne was born in Paris to Larry and Mary Carroll Little in 1943, married his wife, Paula Gwinner Little, of 56 years on September 1, 1967. Wayne and Paula had three wonderful children: Brice Little of Lakewood, Colorado, Kevin Little of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Heather Little Wolfe (and husband Jason Wolfe) of Belton, Texas. He also had three grandchildren Keagan, Kason, and Kensley Wolfe of Belton.
Wayne was talented musically. In his healthier years he enjoyed playing any type of guitar you could put in his hands, but he especially enjoyed playing bass. He had fond memories of reconnecting with his high school band, The Abstracks. He and his bandmates would spend many hours playing together, enjoying many laughs, and rehashing old high school memories. What Wayne liked most of all was spending time with his family. He loved his family dearly, and when he knew his time here on earth was nearing the end he made sure he told each individual how proud he was of them and how much he loved them. He said he didn't want to pass away before he made sure everyone knew what they meant to him. Fortunately for his family, it didn't take that conversation for them to know; he lived his life showing his love and vocalizing that love to them any time he saw them. He enjoyed coffee dates with his daughter, any engineering project he and Kevin could come up with, driving through the mountains of Colorado with Brice, and watching his grandkids in any activity they were involved in. Having Paula there to do it all with him was icing on the cake. His family has many fond memories to bring them comfort in his absence.
He was preceded in death by his parents Larry and Mary Little. He is survived by his wife Paula Little of Temple, TX, three children, Brice Little, Kevin Little, Heather and husband Jason Wolfe, three special grandkids Keagan, Kason, and Kensley Wolfe, a sister Linda (and Bobby) Wooley, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home July 8 at 6:00 pm til 7:00 pm. A memorial service will be held the following day, Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Evergreen Cemetery at 11:00 am.
