Kenny March, 65, passed away on Nov. 5, 2025, at the Cleveland Clinic following a massive heart attack. He fought hard to survive, but there was just too much damage to his heart.
Kenny was born on February 25, 1960 in Ashtabula, Ohio, to Kenneth and Barbara (Kelner) March. He graduated from Jefferson High School, Class of 1978.
Kenny was an avid reader and was very well known at our local libraries. He was a collector and owned several first-edition books.
Kenny was a loyal Cleveland Browns fan, as well as The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Indians. He was proud of his baseball card collection.
Kenny loved to listen to "talk radio" and classic rock music, especially the J. Geils Band, Journey and Bruce Springsteen.
Kenny spent many summer days at Lake Shore Park relaxing and collecting beach glass.
He was always hoping to hit "the big one" playing the lottery.
Kenny is survived by his siblings Carol Lennon, Anson (Leigh Anne) March, Lisa Onion and Scott March; his nieces Aimee Lennon, Stefanie Wessell, Heather Wetherbee and Olivia March; and his nephews Byron Wessell, Jeremy (Rachel) Onion and Nicholas (Alexis) March.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents Ken and Barb March, his sister Connie (Wynn) Wessell, his maternal grandparents Ed and Stella Kelner and his paternal grandparents Anson and Elsie March. His beloved cat Sheba passed away one day before his passing.
A graveside service will be held at a later date in Oakdale Cemetery. Ken will be buried in the March family plot next to his parents and grandparents.
Memorial donations may be made to the Ashtabula County District Library, 4335 Park Ave., Ashtabula, Ohio, or the Ashtabula County APL, 5970 Green Rd., Ashtabula, Ohio.
Lake Erie Cremation & Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Rd., Geneva, OH 44041, assisted the family with arrangements. (440) 361-2273. www.lakeeriecrematory.com.
